The Salon du Chocolat, a concept born of a shared passion

It was in 1994 that the idea of creating a chocolate event was born in the mind of entrepreneur Sylvie Douce. While the concept seemed improbable to the profession, she threw herself into organizing the first edition with François Jeantet.

They inaugurate the 1st Salon du Chocolat on October 28 1995 with just 40 exhibitors. At the time, 40,000 visitors answered the call at the Espace Eiffel Branly. In the face of this success, the couple didn't stop there, heading for New York in 1998, Tokyo in 2000 and other international metropolises in the years that followed.

The Salon du Chocolat de Paris now welcomes over 500 exhibitors from all over the world, representing 60 countries and bringing together the largest selection of chocolates from 5 continents.
