When can I register?

From 48 hours to 2 hours before your flight's departure, save time with online check-in and get your boarding pass on our dedicated https://iport.travelport.com/ici/ce/fr page.

Online check-in is not yet available from Ajaccio, Pau, Nice and Brussels.

What travel documents should I bring?

For domestic flights (France to France), you must travel with a valid identity document (identity card, passport or driving license), including for children and babies.

Important : The livret de famille (family record book) is not an identity document and cannot be used for travel, even within metropolitan France.

For international flights within Europe, please bring your valid identity card or passport.

What time should I arrive at the airport?

Check-in Deadline is 30 min before departure on our domestic flights (France) and 40 min from/to Brussels and Kerry.

To ensure that your trip runs smoothly and that you have enough time to check in your baggage and pass through the various checkpoints, please take these waiting times into account.

Where do I leave my luggage after check-in?

Can I change my booking ?

Change of schedule or itinerary

If you have chosen a Flex or Semi-Flex fare, you can change the date or time of your flight:

  • Free with the Flex rate
  • With a penalty of €40 for the Semi-Flex fare. In addition, if the rate applicable at the time of the change is higher than the rate you paid when you first booking, you will also have to pay the difference between the two rates (= rate difference). You will not be refunded if the new fare is lower than the original fare.
Can I change my passenger data?

A simple spelling change due to a typing error may be made free of charge, at Chalair's discretion.

Can I cancel my booking ?

Only the Flex rate allows a full refund of your booking (excluding service charges).

For other fare types, only taxes are refundable. These can be refunded on request.

Can I bring my own luggage?
  • Cabin: whatever fare you choose, one piece of cabin baggage is included. Either :

- One bag per person (max. dimensions 55 x 35 x 25cm, including wheels and handles, max. 10kg)

- A handbag or computer bag (max. dimensions 30 x 40 x 15, maximum 2kg)

  • Hold baggage: the number of baggage items you can transport free of charge in the hold depends on your ticket type. This information is available at the time of booking and is indicated on your ticket.

If your fare does not include baggage, you can reserve it up to 3 hours before flight departure for €25. If you purchase it at the airport, it will be charged at €40. A second piece of baggage weighing 23kg is charged at 45€ if booked in advance, or 60€ at the airport.

Maximum dimensions: Length + Width + Height = 158cm. Maximum 23kg.

  • Hors Format:

- If baggage exceeds 23 kg (maximum 32 kg), a supplement of €70 will be charged (payment at the airport).

- If the baggage size (Length + Width + Height) is between 159 cm and 300 cm, a supplement of €40 will be charged (payment at the airport). However, the maximum length may not exceed 160cm.

Can I take food in my cabin baggage?

You can take solid food in your cabin baggage.

Only liquid foods are limited to a maximum 100ml container, placed in a transparent bag with a maximum capacity of one liter.

What can I take in the cabin for my baby?
In the cabin, you can take food and 100ml of water for your baby in your baggage.
Can I take oversized luggage?
  • Hors Format :

- If baggage exceeds 23 kg (maximum 32 kg), a supplement of €70 will be charged (payment at the airport).

- If the baggage size (Length + Width + Height) is between 159 cm and 300 cm, a supplement of €40 will be charged (payment at the airport). However, the maximum length may not exceed 160cm.

  • Other luggage :

- Sports equipment: golf bags, diving or skiing equipment and fishing gear are considered standard baggage as long as they comply with the weight and dimensions of hold baggage.

- Surf/kite: Subject to quota. The supplement is €60 per trip. Board length must not exceed 160cm,

- Bicycle : On our ATR aircraft, you can travel with a bicycle. This service is subject to quota and is charged at €60 per journey.

- Children's equipment : If you're traveling with a child under the age of 4, you can carry a cane stroller weighing up to 10 kilos and a booster seat or car seat free of charge.

What are the conditions of carriage for special baggage?

- Sports equipment: golf bags, diving or skiing equipment and fishing gear are considered standard baggage as long as they comply with the weight and dimensions of hold baggage.

- Surf/kite : The supplement is €60 per trip. Board length must not exceed 160cm,

- Bicycle : On our ATR aircraft, you can travel with a bicycle. This service is subject to quota and is charged at €60 per journey.

As this luggage is subject to quota, you must request it directly via our CONTACT form.

What should I do if my luggage is lost?

Go to the baggage claim service at your destination airport

  • Report it immediately to the baggage claims department at your destination airport. Ask for an irregularity report (PIR) stating that the baggage is missing and specifying your file reference number.
  • Formulate a complaint preferably on the website: chalair.fr/reclamations

Please enclose with your claim :

- TAG number ;

- PIR ;

- Bank details for a euro-denominated account ;

- Proof of expenses incurred.

If you are unable to go to the baggage claim service at your destination airport :

What kind of service do you offer on board?
As flights are relatively short, our flight attendants will offer you a hot or cold drink and a sweet or savory snack.
Do you offer the UM (unaccompanied minors) service?

The UM service is offered for children aged 4 to 11 on routes served by ATR 42 and ATR 72 and is subject to availability.

Please contact booking by telephone only on 0 892 700 499.

Once the service has been validated, you'll need to fill in this this UM form form, giving the details (name, address, cell phone number) of the adult accompanying the child to the airport of departure and the adult collecting the child from the airport of arrival. The child must travel with a valid identity document (identity card or passport).

What are the transport conditions for minors?
  • The UM service is offered for children aged 4 to 11 on routes served by ATR 42 and ATR 72 and is subject to availability. Unaccompanied children up to 4 years of age are not accepted on board.
  • The UM service is compulsory for minors aged 4 to 11, unless they are traveling with an adult (18). booking must be made by telephone only on 0 892 700 499.
  • Once the service has been validated, you'll need to fill in this UM form with the contact details (name, address, cell phone) of the adult accompanying the child to the airport of departure and the adult collecting the child from the airport of arrival.
  • Children must travel with a valid identity document (ID card or passport).
  • Minors aged 12 and over travelling alone must be in possession of an identity document. The company will not take charge of them.
Is it possible to travel with a baby on Chalair flights?

On our ATR-operated routes, depending on the type of aircraft, the number of babies is limited.
Please note : All children under 2 years of age must travel in the same seat as the accompanying adult (only one baby per accompanying adult).

How long can I travel during my pregnancy?

Pregnant women are accepted up to 28 weeks of pregnancy without a medical certificate. From 28 to 32 weeks, please complete this medical certificate specifying the stage of pregnancy, state of health and absence of risk of premature delivery (certificate less than 7 days old).

Beyond 32 weeks, travel is not authorized on Chalair Aviation flights.

Can I apply for a wheelchair, and under what conditions?

Our company offers assistance to people who have difficulty getting around on their own (PMR).

However, depending on the type of aircraft operating the route and for safety reasons, the acceptance of disabled passengers is subject to agreement with our services.

If your assistance is required following a recent operation or if you are in a cast, please complete this medical certificate (certificate less than 7 days old)

Can I carry medical baggage?
Medical baggage is subject to certain conditions. You will need a medical certificate completed and signed by a doctor.
Medical baggage not required during the flight will be placed in the hold.
Fragile medical equipment may be carried in the cabin, but must respect the maximum dimensions and weight authorized.
Can I travel with a guide dog?

The number is limited to 1 per flight for safety reasons (at no extra charge).

Can I travel with crutches?

You can bring your own crutches free of charge in the cabin.

They are placed in the luggage compartment above your seat.

What do I need to do if I'm hard of hearing?

Hearing-impaired access is subject to agreement with our services.

Can I travel with a pet?

In the cabin: you can carry a single small animal, weighing up to 8 kg, provided it travels in an approved bag.

In the hold: Transporting an animal is subject to agreement with our services on our ATR-operated routes. Please request this via the CONTACT form.

What travel documents must my pet have?

You must be in possession of a "pet passport".

What's more, in order to fly, your pet must be fitted with a subcutaneous microchip (transponder).

Do I have to get to the airport early if I have a pet to check in?
You must arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flight takes off to allow enough time to check in your pet.

To qualify, you must present your Flying Blue card at the airport check-in desk for registration.

Customers who are members of the AF-KLM Flying Blue program and hold a Silver, Gold, Platnium or Club 2000 card are entitled to an additional 23kg hold baggage item.

How do I book flights for a group?

You can request a group via our contact form HERE or send an e-mail to groupes@chalair.fr.

Please give us as many details as possible so that we can respond to your request as accurately as possible.

How do I register a band?
Group check-in takes place directly at the airport. We advise you to arrive early to allow sufficient time for the process to run smoothly.
How do I modify or cancel a group file?

Changes and cancellations are subject to the Group conditions.

A change of name after a ticket has been issued is subject to a €50 fee.

A reduction in the number of passengers in the group is subject to penalties: 100% less than 30 days and 20% between 59 and 30 days before departure.

If a group is cancelled more than 60 days before departure, a fee of €100 will be charged. For cancellations between 59 and 30 days before departure, 20% will be charged, and 100% for cancellations less than 30 days before departure.
