Can I take any luggage with me?

Cabin baggage: regardless of the fare chosen, one piece of cabin baggage is included. That is:

- One bag per person (maximum dimensions 55 x 35 x 25 cm, including wheels and handles, maximum 10 kg)

- One small item such as a handbag or laptop bag (maximum dimensions 30 x 40 x 15, maximum 2kg)

Checked Baggage: the number of items of checked baggage you can carry free of charge depends on the type of ticket you have. This information is available at the time of booking and is shown on your flight ticket.

If your fare does not include any hold luggage, you can book one item up to 3 hours before your flight’s departure for €30. If you purchase it at the airport, it will cost €40. A second piece of luggage weighing 23 kg costs €50 if booked in advance, or €60 at the airport.

Maximum dimensions: Length + Width + Height = 158 cm. Maximum 23 kg.

Oversized baggage:

- If the bag exceeds 23 kg (maximum 32 kg), a surcharge of €70 will be charged (payable at the airport).

- If the dimensions of the bag (Length + Width + Height) are between 159 cm and 300 cm, a surcharge of €40 will be charged (payable at the airport). However, the maximum length must not exceed 160 cm.

What are the conditions of carriage for special luggage?

Sports equipment: golf bags, diving or skiing equipment and fishing tackle are considered standard baggage provided they comply with the weight and size limits for hold baggage.

Surfing/kitesurfing: The surcharge is €60 per journey. The board must not exceed 160 cm in length.

Bicycles: On our ATR aircraft, you may travel with a bicycle. This service is subject to availability and is charged at €60 per journey.

As these items are subject to a quota, you must request this service directly via our CONTACT form.

Can I carry food in my hand luggage?

You may carry solid food in your hand luggage.

Only liquid foodstuffs are restricted to a maximum of one 100ml container, placed in a transparent bag with a maximum capacity of one litre.

What can I take into the cabin for my baby?

In the cabin, you may carry food in your hand luggage, as well as 100ml of water for your baby.

Can I take oversized luggage?

Oversized Baggage:

- If your bag weighs more than 23 kg (maximum 32 kg), a surcharge of €70 will be applied (payable at the airport).

- If the dimensions of the bag (Length + Width + Height) are between 159 cm and 300 cm, a surcharge of €40 will be applied (payable at the airport). However, the maximum length must not exceed 160 cm.

Other Luggage:

Can I check my bike in as hold luggage?

On our ATR aircraft, you can travel with a bicycle. This service is subject to availability and costs 60€ per journey.

What should I do if my luggage goes missing?

Go to the baggage claims office at your destination airport

Report this immediately to the baggage claims office at your destination airport. Ask for a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) which confirms that your baggage is missing and specifies your case reference number.
Submit your claim, preferably via the website: chalair.fr/reclamations

Please include the following with your claim:

- TAG number;

- PIR;

- Bank details for an account in euros;

- Proof of expenses incurred.

If you are unable to visit the baggage claims office at your destination airport:

Submit a claim within 48 hours via the website: chalair.fr/reclamations
