Travelling with pets

Travelling with pets up to 8 kg

You may carry a single small animal in the cabin in an approved, closed bag. The maximum weight of the animal and its bag is 8 kg. Bag dimensions may not exceed 115 cm.

As the number of pets is limited to one per flight, we recommend that you plan for this at booking .

If you wish to transport several animals on the same flight, please contact us.

Caution: Your pet's head must not protrude from the bag; your pet shop or vet will be able to advise you.

Under no circumstances will your pet be allowed to leave its container for the duration of the flight.

Rigid transport cages are not allowed on our flights.

Cabin travel for snub-nosed animals:

Snub-nosed pets, such as pugs, bulldogs, boxers, Pekingese, Shihtsu and Persian cats, can suffer from respiratory difficulties under stress. Ask your vet for advice before flying.

As your pet is not included in your deductible, you will be required to pay a flat-rate fee of €50 per journey, which can be booked and paid up to 48 hours before departure.

As your pet is not included in your baggage allowance, you will be required to pay a lump sum of €50.00 per journey (cabin) and €100 (hold), bookable and payable before departure.

Travelling with pets over 8 kg - Travel in the hold

Transporting an animal in the hold on our ATR-operated routes is subject to approval (subject to quota and request 48 hours in advance) by our services. Please make your request via the "Contact" section, using the red CONTACT tab.

Please note: Beechcraft 1900D routes do not allow this type of special transport, as the aircraft's hold is not suitable for Travelling with pets.

For this transport, you will have to pay a lump sum of €100 per journey, which can be booked and paid up to 48 hours before departure.

 

Animals prohibited from transport

1st category dogs as defined by the French Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, i.e. attack dogs not belonging to any breed but similar in morphology to the following breeds, are prohibited from carriage (in the cabin or in the hold): Staffordshire Terriers (pit bulls), American Staffordshire Terriers (pit bulls), Mastiffs (Boehringers), Tosas.

2nd category dogs are not allowed on Chalair flights either. The breeds concerned are Staffordshire Terriers with pedigree, American Staffordshire Terriers with pedigree, Tosas with pedigree and dogs whose morphological characteristics make them similar to Rottweilers, with or without pedigree.
