1. A stroll along the Promenade des Anglais

A stroll along the Promenade des Anglais is certainly the first thing to do when you arrive in Nice. These 8 kilometers are a real paradise for a family outing, whether on foot, bike, scooter or rollerblades.

After this invigorating stroll along the seafront, you can take the Boulevard Gambetta for a refreshing taste of artisanal ice cream.

2. Enjoy a 360° view of Nice and the Baie des Anges

For an incredible view of the Promenade des Anglais, Old Nice and the port, head for the Colline du Château. There are several ways to get there (on foot via the Lesage staircase, by the Art Deco-style elevator at the junction of Rue des Ponchettes and Quai des États-Unis, by bus, by taking the tourist train or by car).

You'll appreciate the 19 hectares of greenery on this site and the freshness of its undergrowth and waterfall. Finally, if you stay in Nice during the summer, you can attend the "Nocturnes du Château", open-air shows (theater, music and dance).

3. A visit to Parc Phœnix Éco-refuge

Located at the western entrance to Nice, the Phoenix park, which has been awarded the "Family Plus" label, extends over 7 hectares of greenery where you can relax with the whole family. Younger children will love the free access to several play areas (slides, turnstiles, merry-go-rounds...). Older children and adults can admire the botanical garden, featuring over 2,500 plant species, and the Green Diamond greenhouse, where 6 different tropical and subtropical climates are recreated.

The park is also home to an eco-refuge that collects exotic wild animals from customs seizures and abandonments. Finally, for culture lovers, Phoenix Park is a venue for artistic, scientific and educational exhibitions.

4. A sports course at the Nissa'venture acrobatic park

If your children are into accrobranche, they won't be disappointed by the Nissa'venture acrobatic park in downtown Nice. Children as young as 3 years of age are welcome and can start out in this discipline in complete safety.

The park offers 4 accrobranche courses, each lasting an average of 30 minutes. The most intrepid can try out the " Fun Box ", a suspended net "big box" accessible without a harness. Finally, thrill-seekers can try out " The Quick Jump ", a 10 m high leap into the void.

5. A stroll through Old Nice

With its medieval past, small squares and winding streets, Vieux-Nice is the ideal location for a family outing. You'll soon be immersed in an atmosphere typical of south-eastern France.

Don't hesitate to sit down on a bistro terrace to discover the specialties of Niçoise cuisine with a slice of socca or pissaladière. If these dishes have whetted your appetite, then let yourself be tempted by beignets de fleurs de zucchini, petits farcis or salade niçoise.

6. The Paillon promenade

The Promenade du Paillon is an urban park 1.3 km long and over 50 m wide, stretching from the Théâtre National de Nice to the sea. Its designer wanted to represent the five continents, using a wide selection of trees (oaks, cypresses, olive trees, giant ficus, pomegranates, eucalyptus...) and hundreds of perennials to enhance biodiversity.

Children are also catered for, with 5 play areas featuring giant wooden structures (a turtle and slide for under-3s, marine animals for climbing and sliding for 3- to 6-year-olds, a life-size whale for 6- to 12-year-olds...) and a rope play structure for 5- to 12-year-olds.

On hot days, the whole family will appreciate the water mirror, a 2,800 m2 space covered with 2 cm of water, with 128 water jets and 576 mist points.

7. A visit to the Terra Amata prehistory museum

Here's a perfect destination for those days when the sun isn't shining in Nice! Come and discover with your family the life of the first inhabitants of Nice some 400,000 years ago. Terra Amata's Museum of Human Paleontology honors the men who tended the first hearths, a cutting-edge technology for the time. It offers visitors modern displays with audiovisual and digital devices that will delight your children.
