Lac du Causse is a real invitation to a wide range of water sports. The nautical base offers equipment rental for canoeing, stand-up paddling, rowing, windsurfing and pedalos. Introductory and advanced courses are also available, supervised by qualified professionals.


For thrill-seekers, the Association Ski Nautique Briviste du Causse (ASNBC) offers activities such as water skiing, monoskiing, wakeboarding and towed buoys, accessible from the age of 2 thanks to specially adapted equipment.


A top-level training facility

Lac du Causse is not only a place of leisure, it is also renowned for its top-quality sports facilities. It has hosted international competitions, including the World University Rowing Championships in 2004 and the World Junior Rowing Championships in 2009.

As a center of preparation for the Olympic Games, the lake hosted the Swiss rowing delegation in July 2024, testifying to the excellence of its infrastructure.

Lac du Causse is surrounded by hiking and cycling trails, offering magnificent panoramic views of the Causse corrézien. The Terra Aventura geocaching trail"De l'eau à la pierre du Causse" is a fun way to discover the region.

Nearby, the Gouffre de la Fage, classified Natura 2000, offers a unique speleological experience, with its stalactite and stalagmite-adorned galleries.

  • Supervised swimming: July and August, 11am to 7pm.
  • Wearing a lifejacket: compulsory for all water sports.
