Chalair Flex Insurance: Cancellation without a reason—it's that simple
Got a last-minute change of plans? With Chalair Flex Cancellation Insurance, you regain control of your booking. Unlike traditional insurance policies, which often require complex documentation (medical certificates, employer statements, etc.), Chalair Flex is based on a promise of absolute simplicity: no reason or proof is required.
The benefits of Chalair Flex insurance:
- Maximum flexibility: You can cancel your booking 2 days (48 hours) before your flight departs.
- Money-back guarantee: You will receive 80% of the fare excluding taxes. Please note that service fees and the cost of the Chalair Flex option are not included in the refund.
- Processing speed: Once the cancellation is confirmed, the funds will be transferred to your bank account within 3 business days.
- Generous limit: The total amount reimbursed can be up to €3,000 per booking.
Flight Delay Insurance: Your time is valuable
Because we know that every minute counts, Chalair, in partnership with the insurance provider Koala, offers specific coverage for flight delays. If your flight is significantly delayed, you’ll receive a lump-sum payment to compensate for the inconvenience.
How does compensation work?
- Trigger threshold: A compensation payment of €100 per person is paid if your covered flight is delayed by more than 2 hours.
- Accurate calculation: The delay is measured as the difference between the originally scheduled arrival time and the actual arrival time (when the aircraft is parked and ready to disembark passengers).
- Extended coverage: This coverage applies to flights operated by commercial airlines with published schedules, departing from or arriving at airports with a valid IATA code.
Please note: Certain exceptional circumstances, such as wars, nuclear risks, cyber incidents, or weather-related disruptions lasting more than seven consecutive days, are not covered. Similarly, coverage does not apply if the flight is canceled by the passenger.
How can I access these services?
These protective measures have been designed to be as seamless as possible.
- To cancel your Chalair Flex booking without giving a reason: Simply send an email to Chalair’s customer service team (serviceclient@chalair.fr) at least 48 hours before your departure. Koala will then take over to process your refund.
- In case of a flight delay: It’s even easier! Koala will contact you directly by email within 3 business days to confirm your eligibility and request your payment information.
