Chalair Aviation is a French airline founded in 1986 and based at Caen Carpiquet airport. It specializes mainly in inter-regional air routes, and is also expanding internationally. 

What you need to know about the job: 

Reporting to the Executive in charge, the Compliance Monitoring Manager (CMM) and Safety Management Manager (SMM) PART M/PART CAMO/PART 145 is in charge of compliance monitoring and safety management relating to PART M/PART CAMO airworthiness management and PART 145 maintenance activities within the Technical Department.

In particular, it ensures that these activities are :

  • Monitored for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and any additional requirements set by the various bodies. 
  • Carried out correctly under the responsibility of the functional area managers concerned.

In addition, the Compliance Monitoring Manager (CMM) and Safety Management Manager (SMM) PART M/PART CAMO/PART 145 work in close collaboration with the other members of the Management System Department on the OPS side, namely the Compliance Monitoring Manager (and deputy), the Safety Manager (and deputy), the Flight Safety Officer and the Safety Correspondents by domain.

What are your main activities? RSC/RS PART M/PART CAMO/PART 145 :

  • Ensures that the company's PART M/PART CAMO/PART 145 operations are conducted in accordance with the conditions and restrictions of the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) and PART CAME/G+I and PART 145 approvals, as well as with the applicable regulations and standards of the Chalair Aviation State and other applicable authorities;
  • Ensures the proper management of security risks and threats to the safety of operations in its area;
  • Implements and monitors the Technical Department's compliance monitoring program;
  • Reports the results of compliance monitoring to the Executive in Charge;
  • Ensures the follow-up of the CAME and MOE Manuals as well as their modifications and updates;
  • Ensures the follow-up of document control within the Technical Department;
  • Follows up the management of discrepancies in the Technical Department;
  • Monitors, evaluates and updates indicators in its field;
  • Provides technical support for the implementation of the Technical Department's management system;
  • Participates in hazard identification and risk management through the compliance monitoring program; 
  • Defines and implements a training plan for the department to ensure the acquisition and maintenance of the skills of the members under its supervision;
  • Carries out internal audits according to its areas of competence;
  • Carries out supervision and controls in the field of quality PART M/PART CAMO/PART 145 ;
  • Ensures the follow-up of corrective, preventive and curative actions resulting from the monitoring of the company's Management System;
  • Implements corrective and preventive actions adapted to the recommendations issued by the Management System;
  • Is in charge of managing subcontractors and suppliers in the relevant business area;
  • Ensures and guarantees the escalation and notification of any event relating to its area that may or has an impact on safety;
  • Promotes the company's Safety, Compliance and Security Policy within the Technical Department.

What are the job requirements?

  • At least 5 years' professional experience, including two years in aeronautics in appropriate positions;
  • Hold an engineering degree (or other level equivalent to BAC+5);
  • Have practical experience and mastery of the application of safety standards and good aeronautical practices;
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulations applicable to your organization/accreditation and/or knowledge of operational regulations, your organization's field of activity, and the techniques, manuals and documents used;
  • In-depth knowledge of Human and Organizational Factors;
  • Training, knowledge and experience in conducting audits;
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English;
  • Knowledge of European management system and quality management system requirements;
  • Knowledge of standard maintenance practices;
  • Knowledge of aircraft, components and techniques.
